Mudança na Festa da Penha: Romaria dos Homens tem novo horário
"A mudança acontece com espírito de prudência, cuidado pastoral e responsabilidade, diante de uma realidade que muito nos alegra: a cada edição, cresce o número de fiéis que participam da Romaria dos Homens. Esse aumento expressivo é sinal vivo da fé do povo capixaba e da devoção a Nossa Senhora da Penha", diz a organização da Festa da Penha, para justificar a mudança de horário.
"Trata-se de uma medida pensada para que a romaria continue sendo um caminho de fé vivido com serenidade, unidade e cuidado, do início ao fim, permitindo que todos participem com mais conforto e tranquilidade espiritual", acrescentou a organização.

Apesar da justificativa oficial, a coluna apurou que durante uma missa na Prainha, em Vila Velha, o padre informou que a organização da festa trabalha com a hipótese de eventuais atrasos no ritmo da romaria, por causa das obras do corredor exclusivo de ônibus que estão sendo feitas ao longo da Av. A Festa da Penha 2026 será realizada entre os dias 5 e 13 de abril e o tema é inspirado na oração de São Francisco: "Fazei de nós instrumentos da paz". No dia 13, uma segunda-feira, é feriado oficial em todo o estado do Espírito Santo.
