O dono do Banco Master foi transferido na noite desta quinta-feira (19/3), a pedido da defesa, em meio a especulações sobre uma delação premiada. A transferência da Penitenciária Federal de Brasília para a PF foi feita de helicóptero após autorização do ministro André Mendonça, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF).
A carceragem no local foi desativada em 2009 e a Superintendência da PF tem apenas duas celas de passagem, ou seja, de caráter mais temporário e provisório. Geralmente, elas são destinadas a abrigar presos que aguardam transferência para o sistema penitenciário ou que têm alguma condição especial. No caso de Vorcaro, a custódia seria justificada pela suposta negociação por delação.
A cela onde Bolsonaro ficou é uma sala com 12 metros quadrados. O espaço é chamado de "Sala de Estado" e reservado a autoridades como presidentes da República e outras altas figuras públicas presas. Ele foi reformado no primeiro semestre de 2025.

Três dias depois, começou a cumprir a pensa definitiva por tentativa de golpe de Estado. O ex-presidente foi condenado pelo STF a 27 anos e 3 meses de prisão.
