Perfil no Instagram fazia especulações sobre a sexualidade dos moradores de cidade no interior do Ceará.
Um homem de 27 anos, não identificado formalmente, foi preso suspeito de ser o criador de uma página que divulgava fofocas sobre moradores de Itatira, no interior do Ceará. O perfil gerou medo e envolveu práticas de extorsão e violência entre os moradores da cidade.
O suspeito foi capturado na quarta-feira (18), na cidade de Piracicaba, no Estado de São Paulo, em ação realizada pela Polícia Civil paulista, após o compartilhamento de informações com a equipe de Canindé.
De acordo com as investigações, perfis eram criados com o objetivo de publicar conteúdos ofensivos e difamatórios contra moradores de Itatira, expondo vítimas e atingindo sua reputação.
Após as publicações, os responsáveis pelos perfis entravam em contato com as vítimas exigindo pagamento em dinheiro para remover as postagens, caracterizando, em tese, o crime de extorsão.
