Evento internacional em Porto Alegre debate avanço da ultradireita e soluções antifascistas
1ª Conferência Internacional Antifascista vai reunir mais de 120 pessoalidades políticas, intelectuais e organizações de 30 países; veja programação
A cidade de Porto Alegre receberá na próxima quinta-feira (26/03) a primeira edição da Conferência Internacional Antifascista do Brasil, encontro com mais de 120 pessoas, representando 90 organizações de 30 países, com intuito de fortalecer a articulação global do campo progressista para enfrentar o avanço da extrema direita no mundo.
A organização da conferência é composta pelo Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT), Partido Socialismo e Liberdade (PSOL) e Partido Comunista do Brasil (PCdoB) com apoio de entidades sociais, como o Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST), o Centro dos Professores do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (CPERS Sindicato) e o Sindicato Intermunicipal dos Professores de Instituições Federais de Ensino Superior do Rio Grande do Sul (ADUFRGS).
Planejada para ocorrer em maio de 2024, a convenção teve que ser cancelada após as enchentes que devastou o Rio Grande do Sul.
Neste ano, durante quatro dias, até o domingo (29/03), o evento prevê aprofundar o entendimento sobre as causas estruturais da expansão da ultradireita, que se intensificou após a volta de Donald Trump ao poder nos Estados Unidos, além de debater a precarização do trabalho, negacionismo e o uso de grupos paramilitares como instrumento de controle territorial.
O jornalista e fundador de Opera Mundi, Breno Altman, participa no sábado (28/03) da mesa "A Resistência Palestina ao Genocídio e à Opressão do Estado de Israel", ao lado do presidente da Federação Árabe Palestina do Brasil (FEPAL), Ualid Rabah, do embaixador da Liga Árabe, Thiago Ávila, de Muna Muhammad, da Flotilha da liberdade, e de representantes do Sindicato Nacional dos Docentes das Instituições de Ensino Superior (ANDES-SN) e do movimento Boicote, Desinvestimento e Sanções (BDS).
Além deles, parlamentares como Maria do Rosário (PT), Olívio Dutra (PT), Leonel Radde (PT), Luciana Genro (Psol), Daiana Santos (PCdoB) e outros também estão presentes na programação da conferência. Nomes como de Valter Pomar, Vijay Prashad, Michel Lowy, Atílio Borón, Mônica Valente, Jorge Arreaza e Socorro Gomes fazem parte da programação. Amanda Harumy e Ana Prestes, comentaristas do Rodamundo, programa de Opera Mundi, se somam ao evento.

A Opera Mundi, o presidente do PT de Porto Alegre, Rodrigo Dilelio, disse que o evento tem como principal objetivo trazer um entendimento de como enfrentar o avanço da extrema direito e do imperialismo. "Trata-se de uma articulação plural que, apesar das diferenças, construiu uma unanimidade em torno da urgência deste encontro: vivemos uma ofensiva coordenada do fascismo e do imperialismo, e a resposta precisa ser igualmente articulada".
Impacto na América Latina
Para Rodrigo Dilelio, os riscos enfrentados pelos países latino-americanos fazem parte de uma trajetória histórica marcada pela influência dos EUA, mas defendeu ser fundamental proteger a soberania de países como Venezuela e Cuba nesta conferência.
Segundo o presidente do PT de Porto Alegre, manter Cuba e Venezuela na agenda do evento não é "nostalgia", mas sim relembrar que o atual bloqueio imposto pelo governo norte-americano contra a ilha e o sequestro de Nicolás Maduro e sua esposa Cília Flores, se "não forem enfrentados, podem colocar qualquer vitória eleitoral na região em risco de ser revertida à força".
"Neste cenário, a solidariedade ativa é a linha que deve separar a hipótese da soberania perante a sua contraparte, materializada num cenário tenebroso de recolonização", afirmou.
