O BTG Pactual sofreu um ataque hacker que desviou 100 milhões de reais neste domingo, 22, o que obrigou o banco a desativar a função Pix por enquanto por medida de segurança. Procurada por VEJA, a assessoria de imprensa da instituição informou, por meio de nota, que está cuidando do caso e ressaltou que dados de clientes não foram expostos e que nenhuma conta de correntista foi acessada indevidamente.
"O BTG Pactual informa que identificou na manhã deste domingo (22/03) atividades atípicas relacionadas ao PIX. O banco esclarece que não houve acesso a contas de clientes e nenhum dado de correntista foi exposto. Enquanto investiga o caso, por medida de precaução, as operações por PIX estão suspensas. O BTG Pactual reforça, ainda, que a segurança das informações é prioridade e está disponível em caso de dúvidas em seus canais de atendimento.", diz a nota do BTG.
Segundo apurou VEJA, a maior parte do dinheiro desviado já foi recuperada, e o restante, cerca de 30% a 40% da quantia total, também está em processo de restituição.
