Os Estados Unidos enviaram ao Irã um plano de 15 pontos para acabar com a guerra, que poderia incluir limites severos ao seu programa nuclear e a reabertura do Estreito de Ormuz, relataram meios de imprensa nesta terça-feira, 24.
O jornal americano The New York Times, que cita dois funcionários sob anonimato, informou que a proposta foi enviada ao Irã por meio do Paquistão, que se ofereceu como mediador.
O Canal 12 de Israel indicou que Estados Unidos e Irã poderiam declarar um cessar-fogo de um mês para negociar com base nessa proposta.
O plano prevê o fim de todo o enriquecimento de urânio em território iraniano e a entrega do material enriquecido, que Estados Unidos e Israel afirmam poder ser utilizado para desenvolver uma bomba nuclear, segundo o meio israelense.
Acrescenta que o Irã poderia inclusive permitir novamente a passagem sem restrições pelo Estreito de Ormuz, por onde circula cerca de um quinto do petróleo e do gás liquefeito mundiais, após o bloqueio da passagem marítima imposto por Teerã como retaliação, o que elevou os preços globais de energia.
Em contrapartida, todas as sanções contra o Irã seriam suspensas, segundo a reportagem da emissora israelense.
O Irã também receberia assistência no desenvolvimento de energia nuclear civil no complexo de Bushehr, que Teerã afirmou nesta terça-feira ter sido atacado por Israel.
Nem a Casa Branca nem o Departamento de Estado comentaram as reportagens.
