O deputado federal licenciado Idilvan Alencar (PDT) deixou, nesta terça-feira (24), o comando da Secretaria Municipal da Educação (SME) de Fortaleza, que ocupava desde o início da gestão do prefeito Evandro Leitão (PT), em janeiro de 2025, e vai retomar seu mandato na Câmara dos Deputados.
A decisão foi publicizada pelo político por meio de um vídeo compartilhado em seu perfil no Instagram. Ao PontoPoder, ele disse que preferiu deixar a titularidade da SME com antecedência porque, já no sábado (28), deve se filiar ao Partido Socialista Brasileiro (PSB), sigla que pretende representar na disputa pela reeleição.
"Achei melhor sair logo, porque, como vou me filiar sábado, não queria estar secretário e cuidar de filiação", pontuou Alencar, agora ex-secretário de Educação do Município, em conversa com a reportagem.
Na gravação publicada em suas redes sociais, ele aparece ao lado do prefeito e da vereadora Adriana Almeida (PT), presidente da Comissão de Educação da Câmara Municipal de Fortaleza (CMFor).
"Com muita honra e gratidão, encerro hoje a missão de ser secretário da Educação de Fortaleza. Agradeço a confiança, o apoio e a amizade do prefeito Evandro Leitão, que confiou essa missão a mim. É uma alegria fazer parte do seu time, ao qual, com toda certeza, seguirei ajudando", escreveu Idilvan na legenda.
Novo secretário da Educação
Com a saída de Idilvan, assume a pasta o professor Ciro Mesquita. Atualmente, ele é Coordenador do Distrito de Educação IV de Fortaleza.
A divisão da SME gerida por Ciro é responsável pelas unidades de ensino em localidades como Siqueira, Parque Santa Rosa, Conjunto Esperança, Novo Mundubim, Maraponga, Jardim Cearense, Manoel Sátiro, Bom Jardim e Granja Lisboa.
Mesquita é pedagogo, mestre e doutor em Educação pelo Educação pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Estadual do Ceará (Uece). O novo titular da secretaria é professor da rede municipal de ensino da capital desde 2010 e também tem experiência na docência para o ensino superior.
