Em entrevista à coluna, a empresária e pré-candidata a uma vaga na Câmara dos Deputados afirmou que, caso o pai tivesse disputado e vencido as eleições para presidente em 1989, teria uma postura mais ao centro e tentaria "ajudar as pessoas".
"Centro, porque ele não ia ajudar esquerda ou direita. Ele iria ajudar o povo, e o povo é centro. Eu não posso não te ajudar porque você é de esquerda, ou te ajudar ou não te ajudar porque você é de direita. Eu tenho que ajudar o povo", disse Silvia Abravanel.
"Eu tenho que estar pelo povo. Então, eu não posso ajudar aquele porque é isso ou porque aquilo. Eu tenho que ajudar as pessoas, porque elas são pessoas. Eu vou lidar com pessoas, eu vou lidar com a população, eu vou lidar com aquelas pessoas que precisam ser enxergadas e abraçadas. E a mesma coisa seria ele", afirmou a empresária.
