A médica pediatra Cláudia Lima Gusmão Cacho (foto em destaque) foi oficialmente promovida nessa quarta-feira (1º/4), em solenidade no Clube do Exército, em Brasília (DF).
A mais recente postagem a respeito da promoção da militar nas redes oficiais do Exército Brasileiro foi feita há pouco mais de um mês, em 26 de fevereiro. Os comentários são, em sua maioria, positivos: reconhecem a trajetória da agora general e a parabenizam pela conquista profissional.
Contudo, alguns seguidores criticaram a decisão baseando-se no gênero da militar. "Vai fazer a unha?", perguntou, em tom irônico, um homem sem foto de perfil. Outro rapaz insinuou que Cláudia Cacho foi promovida "por ser amiguinha do rei ou por militância, mesmo".

Cláudia Cacho tomou posse do cargo de general, nesta quarta-feira (1/4), em cerimônia realizada com a presença do ministro da Defesa, José Mucio Monteiro.
Em conversa com a imprensa ao fim da solenidade, Cláudia destacou a importância de as mulheres se prepararem e se reconhecerem para chegar onde deseja.
"É importante conhecer a força, se reconhecer e procurar se capacitar, se preparar física e psicologicamente para a vida militar e acreditar em si mesmo. Com trabalho e competência, a gente chega lá", disse a primeira general do Exército Brasileiro.
Quem é Cláudia Cacho
Natural de Recife (PE), Cláudia Lima Gusmão Cacho ingressou no Exército em 30 de janeiro de 1996 como oficial temporária, no então 42º Batalhão de Infantaria Motorizada, sediado em Goiânia (GO). Foi aprovada no Concurso de Admissão para a Escola de Saúde do Exército, concluindo o Curso de Formação de Oficiais Médicos em 1998.
A militar, moradora do Distrito Federal, havia sido indicada mediante votação, em 24 de fevereiro, e estava aguardando a confirmação da nomeação por parte do presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). Cláudia assumirá a direção do Hospital Militar de Área de Brasília (HMAB).
O cargo de general é a patente mais alta no Exército, integrante do círculo de Oficiais-Generais, responsável pelo comando de grandes unidades (brigadas, divisões) e planejamento estratégico. No Brasil, a carreira exige cerca de 35 anos de serviço.
Segundo o Exército, a escolha dos generais baseia-se em um rigoroso processo de avaliação pelo alto comando da Força, que considera tempo de serviço, mérito profissional e desempenho em funções de comando e Estado-Maior, além de conclusão de cursos obrigatórios de estudos militares.
A cerimônia dessa quarta-feira também promoveu:
17 coronéis ao posto de general de brigada;
11 generais de brigada ao posto de general de divisão;
