A PRIO (PRIO3) produziu 161 milhões de barris equivalentes de petróleo (boepd), alta de 8% em relação a fevereiro, mostra documento enviado ao mercado nesta quarta-feira (1º).
A alta vem em bom momento. O petróleo Brent disparou 59% no mês passado, a maior alta mensal já registrada, superando os ganhos observados durante a Guerra do Golfo de 1990.
O conflito com o Irã praticamente fechou o Estreito de Ormuz, por onde passa cerca de um quinto do fornecimento mundial de petróleo e gás.
Por outro lado, a companhia corre para elevar sua produção.
Na última sexta, a empresa disse que abriu o segundo poço produtor do campo de Wahoo, na Bacia de Campos, acrescentando que a produção estabilizou em 12.000 barris de óleo por dia.
"O início da produção de Wahoo representa um marco na estratégia de crescimento da companhia. Localizado no pré-sal da Bacia de Campos, o campo foi desenvolvido por meio de um tieback submarino de aproximadamente 35 km ao FPSO Valente, otimizando o uso da infraestrutura existente", diz a companhia.
