As polícias Civil e Militar de São Paulo investigam a morte de uma mulher em meio a uma intervenção policial na madrugada desta sexta-feira, 3, em Cidade Tiradentes, na Zona Leste da capital paulista. A vítima, identificada como Thawanna da Silva Salmázio, chegou a ser socorrida, mas não resistiu.

A morte de Thawanna gerou protestos na noite desta sexta. Segundo a Polícia Militar, foram registrados pelo menos cinco pontos de bloqueio nas imediações da Rua Alexandre Davidenko, na Cidade Tiradentes. Em um deles, manifestantes pararam um ônibus e atearam fogo em pedaços de madeira.
Sob risco de confronto entre os manifestantes e as forças de segurança, a PM orientou para que a população evitasse circular pela região.
Em nota, a Secretaria da Segurança Pública (SSP) de SP informou que os policiais envolvidos na ocorrência trabalharão em funções administrativas até a conclusão das investigações. Imagens de câmeras corporais serão analisadas e encaminhadas às autoridades, assim como os laudos periciais.

No registro da ocorrência, os policiais informaram que estavam em patrulhamento quando avistaram um casal andando no meio da rua, de braços dados. O homem teria se desequilibrado e batido o braço no retrovisor da viatura.
Os agentes, então, teriam retornado ao local, momento em que o rapaz começou a discutir com a equipe e desobedecido uma ordem para se afastar. Em meio ao desentendimento, a mulher teria avançado sobre uma policial militar.
A agente relatou ter sofrido um tapa no rosto e tentado se defender. Na sequência, teria havido um disparo de arma de fogo, e Thawanna teria sido atingida na barriga. Ela foi levada ao Hospital Tiradentes.
Em depoimento, o homem afirmou que a viatura passou pelo casal em alta velocidade, quase atropelando-o, o que teria gerado uma reação da mulher. Segundo o rapaz, uma agente teria descido da viatura e efetuado o disparo contra Thawanna, Ele disse, ainda, ter sido atingido com spray de pimenta.
