A cadela que viralizou nas redes sociais ao "defender Jesus" durante uma encenação da Paixão de Cristo foi reconhecida pelos tutores dois anos após ter desaparecido nas enchentes que atingiram o Rio Grande do Sul em 2024.
A encenação, que ocorreu no sábado (28/3), em Sapiranga, na Região Metropolitana de Porto Alegre, chamou a atenção do público quando o animal invadiu o espaço e permaneceu ao lado do ator que interpretava Jesus no momento em que ele era castigado.
Mesmo com a movimentação dos demais participantes, a cadela não se afastou e acompanhou a apresentação até o fim.

Após o espetáculo, o animal – que até então vivia em situação de rua – foi acolhido, e suas fotos começaram a ser divulgadas nas redes sociais para ajudar a encontrar um novo lar. Com a repercussão, ele acabou sendo adotado por um farmacêutico, passou a viver em uma nova casa e ganhou um novo nome: Luna.
Dias depois, a história ganhou mais um desdobramento. Uma família, natural de São Leopoldo, que havia perdido a cadela durante as enchentes a reconheceu após assistir ao vídeo que circulava na internet.
De acordo com os familiares, a cadela desapareceu durante a cheia e não foi mais encontrada, apesar das buscas realizadas em abrigos de cidades da região. Eles afirmaram que não houve abandono, mas sim a impossibilidade de retornar à residência por causa da inundação.
Após o reconhecimento, a família entrou em contato com o homem que havia adotado o animal, e a cadela foi devolvida na última quarta-feira (1º/4).
