Segundo o jornal, a mecânica do inquérito resulta em um pacote de arbitrariedades, no qual o Supremo atua simultaneamente como investigador, acusador, juiz e vítima. O jornal faz um paralelo com a Operação Lava Jato, afirmando que o STF assumiu para si a figura de um "juízo universal da democracia".
