No decorrer da gestão lulopetista, enquanto outros veículos cobriram crises de forma esporádica, o Conexão Política manteve veiculação fiscalizadora ininterrupta, todos os dias.
Desde a posse presidencial, em janeiro de 2023, a discussão sobre quais veículos jornalísticos adotaram postura mais sistemática ao governo federal foi colocado em discussão, diante de uma hegemonia editorial pró-governo, sobretudo em razão de censuras aplicadas pelo STF, do temor sobre investidas do Judiciário e do alinhamento de parte da imprensa com o Planalto.
Uma análise qualitativa do padrão editorial de portais com perfil crítico ao atual governo revela diferenças substantivas de ritmo, volume e abordagem.
Em todos os meses, o Conexão Política firmou um padrão distinto do de seus concorrentes, com frente explícita e exclusiva em política, economia e poder, sob concentração de produção diária no acompanhamento de matérias governamentais, do Congresso e do Judiciário.
O desempenho de audiência deu tração aos números. O aplicativo do Conexão Política assumiu a liderança entre os apps de notícias mais baixados do país, ultrapassando o G1, portal de notícias da Globo. O resultado, alcançado em 2023, foi expressivo porque a disputa por downloads dimensiona o engajamento ativo do leitor, não apenas o tráfego passivo.
Um estudo qualitativo realizado em quatro países da América Latina inseriu o Conexão Política entre os canais pelos quais jovens entre 16 e 24 anos se politizam na internet, apontando para uma base de leitores que busca no veículo uma alternativa à cobertura da chamada grande mídia.
Nas redes sociais, em dois levantamentos da Zeeng, o Conexão Política saltou da 19ª para a 7ª posição entre os publishers brasileiros com maior audiência e engajamento no Instagram entre o fim de 2025 e fevereiro de 2026, ao lado de players como g1, CazéTV, GloboNews e Metrópoles.
