De acordo com o Corpo de Bombeiros, testemunhas relataram que a chama começou em um veículo e rapidamente se propagou para outros que estavam estacionados no pátio. Apesar do susto, ninguém ficou ferido.
Até o momento não se sabe o que provocou o incêndio. Ao todo, foram necessários cerca de sete mil litros de água para combater o fogo e evitar que outros veículos também fossem atingidos.
Após o controle das chamas, foi realizado o trabalho de rescaldo, com o objetivo de eliminar possíveis focos remanescentes e prevenir a reignição. Além disso, os militares constataram que não houve danos à estrutura do imóvel.
