Servidora pública é presa acusada de desvio milionário para apostas online
Durante operação, polícia conseguiu bloquear e recuperar ao menos 800 mil reais
A Polícia Civil paulista prendeu na tarde de quarta-feira, 11, uma servidora pública da Prefeitura de Santo Antônio do Pinhal, a 170 km de São Paulo, acusada de desviar ao menos 6 milhões de reais dos cofres públicos. Parte do dinheiro foi usado para apostas online, segundo investigações preliminares.
O Poder Executivo municipal foi o responsável por denunciar a funcionária. "No âmbito de suas rotinas regulares de controle e acompanhamento administrativo, foram identificados indícios de possível irregularidade envolvendo a conduta individual de uma servidora pública. A situação foi constatada por meio da atuação técnica e preventiva dos mecanismos internos de controle da própria Administração, o que possibilitou a adoção imediata das providências cabíveis", diz trecho da nota da prefeitura.
Depois de uma apuração interna preliminar, o Poder Executivo fez a comunicação formal à Polícia Civil para abertura de inquérito criminal. "Com o avanço das investigações, o Poder Judiciário decretou a prisão preventiva da servidora envolvida, ocupante de cargo efetivo há mais de dez anos", continua a nota da prefeitura.
Durante a operação, agentes da Polícia Civil conseguiram bloquear e recuperar valor próximo a 800 mil reais em posse da servidora. A decisão judicial que autorizou a prisão da funcionária determinou também a quebra dos sigilos bancário e fiscal e a indisponibilidade de bens. A determinação é uma forma de operacionalizar o ressarcimento ao erário público futuramente. Apesar do rombo milionário já constatado, servidores da prefeitura trabalham para saber se outros valores foram desviados das contas públicas. O Município deverá entrar com ação civil na tentativa de restituir a verba.
O prefeito da cidade, Anderson Parrão (PSD), disse que a Administração colabora com as investigações. "É gravíssimo, prejudicando serviços da prefeitura. Entramos com a denúncia na Polícia Civil e Ministério Público. Seguimos colaborando para fornecer todas as informações para que a Justiça seja feita. Tenho certeza que a Justiça será feita", afirmou.
