O procurador-geral da República, Paulo Gonet, defendeu o arquivamento de um inquérito que investiga a ex-deputada Carla Zambelli pela suspeita de obstrução de investigação e coação no curso do processo.
A apuração foi aberta após Zambelli ir para a Itália, para evitar sua prisão, e anunciar que pretendia fazer uma ofensiva contra o STF na Europa, assim como Eduardo Bolsonaro vinha fazendo nos Estados Unidos.
Gonet considera, contudo, que esse plano não se concretizou.
"Embora Carla Zambelli Salgado de Oliveira tenha insinuado, em diversas entrevistas e publicações em redes sociais, o plano de convencer autoridades europeias a influenciarem as instituições brasileiras, as diligências investigativas não apontaram efetiva materialização da conduta delitiva", escreveu o procurador-geral.
Gonet acrescentou que a prisão de Zambelli, em julho, contribuiu para o cenário. "É verossímil, portanto, que o projeto delituoso tenha se limitado ao nível da retórica, sem significativa exteriorização de atos executórios", afirmou.
