MEC Livros: biblioteca digital pública e gratuita

As mensagens voltaram a circular dias antes de o Ministério da Educação oficializar o lançamento do MEC Livros, na última segunda-feira. A biblioteca digital gratuita tem como objetivo fortalecer a formação de leitores no Brasil e democratizar o acesso a obras literárias.

"A ferramenta funciona como uma biblioteca virtual, com mecanismos de empréstimo, cujo acervo também é composto pelas obras literárias que estão disponíveis no site www.dominiopublico.gov.br, além de outras que são disponibilizadas de forma gratuita", informou a pasta. Na plataforma, é possível encontrar cerca de 8 mil obras, incluindo livros de escritores consagrados, como Clarice Lispector, José Saramago e Ariano Suassuna.
