Acionamento de sirene de barragem causa pânico em Minas Gerais

Apesar do susto, conforme a Anglo American não há situação de emergência ou necessidade de evacuação. "A barragem e os diques de contenção do Sistema Minas-Rio permanecem seguros, sem qualquer desvio nos indicadores de estabilidade, que são acompanhados continuamente por monitoramento geotécnico 24 horas por dia, sete dias por semana", informou a empresa.
A organização ainda afirmou que acionou as equipes responsáveis para verificação do sistema de sirenes e checagens de rotina. Os órgãos competentes foram comunicados. As causas do acionamento ainda são investigadas.
