Genro de prefeito atira nos filhos, mata um e morre em Goiás
O secretário da Prefeitura de Itumbiara (GO), Thales Alves Naves Machado, de 40 anos, é suspeito de atirar nos próprios filhos, na madrugada desta quinta-feira, 12. O filho mais velho, de 12 anos, morreu e o irmão, de oito anos, está internado em estado gravíssimo no Hospital Estadual São Marcos, localizado na cidade goiana.
Thales é genro do prefeito de Itumbiara, Dione Araújo (União Brasil). Segundo a Polícia, o secretário tirou a própria vida após a ação, no condomínio onde a família morava.
Miguel Araújo Machado, de 12 anos, chegou a ser levado para o Hospital Municipal Modesto de Carvalho (HMMC), mas não resistiu aos ferimentos e faleceu no local. Após o Instituto Médico Legal (IML) liberar, durante a manhã, os corpos do pai e filho mortos, foi iniciado o velório de Miguel na residência de seu avô, o gestor do município.
Benício Araújo Machado, de 8 anos, passou por cirurgia e está hospitalizado.
De acordo com a rede de saúde, não serão divulgadas informações sobre o estado clínico de pacientes específicos, em respeito ao sigilo médico, à ética profissional e à legislação vigente, especialmente à Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD).
A mãe das crianças e esposa de Thales, estava viajando a São Paulo quando a situação aconteceu. Ao tomar ciência, a filha do prefeito retornou a Itumbiara.
Investigação
A Polícia Civil informou que abriu procedimento para investigar a ocorrência; a apuração está em andamento. Foi decretado pela Prefeitura de Itumbiara luto oficial de três dias à partir desta quinta-feira, 12, pela morte do secretário. As escolas públicas da cidade encerraram as aulas às 9h30min, com retorno previsto para o dia seguinte.
