As negociações diretas entre EUA e Irã entraram na "fase técnica", neste sábado (11), e deverão se prolongar por toda a noite em Islamabad, no Paquistão, segundo informações da agência Lusa. Neste momento, as autoridades dos dois países estão discutindo os detalhes finais de um possível acordo.
De acordo com a agência Tasnim, ligada à Guarda Revolucionária do Irã, as questões ligadas ao Estreito de Ormuz continuam sendo o maior ponto de divergência entre as duas partes.
O estreito é a passagem por onde trafega 20% da produção mundial de petróleo e está bloqueada pelos iranianos no momento. Trump exige que a região seja reaberta.
As negociações finais têm foco em detalhes específicos das áreas econômica, militar, jurídica e nuclear. O diálogo acontece através de comitês formados por técnicos passam a discutir pontos mais detalhados do possível acordo. Mesmo com as negociações avançando, ainda há impasses. Um dos principais pontos de divergência envolveria o Estreito de Ormuz, estratégico para o comércio global de petróleo, que foi fechada pelo povo iraniano, mas o presidente dos EUA, Donald Trump, quer a região liberada.
Além disso, o Irã defende que Israel interrompa ataques no Líbano como parte de um eventual acordo, condição rejeitada por israelenses e norte-americanos.
