O Mercardo Livre (MELI34) ganhou um novo fator estrutural positivo com a parceria estabelecida com o Assaí (ASAI3), vê o Santander. A varejista de alimentos anunciou que começará a oferecer uma seleção de itens não perecíveis na plataforma da gigante do e-commerce. Com isso, o Assaí passa a usufruir dos serviços logísticos do Meli.
As operações têm início previsto no Sudeste para o segundo trimestre deste ano, seguida por uma expansão gradual pelo país ao longo de 2026.
Além da parceria na plataforma, o Assaí contratou o Mercado Livre para gerenciar a logística de suprimentos de suas lojas, fortalecendo a relação comercial entre as companhias.
"Vemos a parceria como um fator estrutural positivo para o Meli, pois acreditamos que ela reforçará a escala do ecossistema da empresa, amplificará os efeitos da rede logística e ampliará sua vantagem competitiva de longo prazo, sustentando, em última análise, o crescimento contínuo do volume bruto de mercadorias e a resiliência das margens", dizem os analistas.
Na visão do banco, a integração mais profunda com um grande nome do varejo tradicional também representa um avanço na estratégia plurianual do Mercado Livre de migração do offline para o online.
Mercado Livre + Assaí = ganha-ganha?
A expectativa do Santander é de que os preços competitivos do Assaí impulsionem o tráfego e acelerem a entrada do Meli no segmento de supermercados e, dessa maneira, contribuirão para o aumento do volume bruto de mercadorias (GMV) e aumento na frequência de compras.
"Embora acreditemos que o acordo comercial seja mais competitivo do que a média (implicando alguma pressão sobre a taxa de comissão), também acreditamos que o valor mínimo de R$ 199 para frete grátis deve ajudar a preservar a rentabilidade por unidade e limitar a diluição da margem", diz o banco.
Na visão dos analistas, a parceria com a Assaí pode levar a uma maior escala, aumentando a alavancagem operacional, além de custos unitários mais baixos e melhoria dos níveis de serviço, elevando ainda mais as barreiras de entrada para concorrentes que não possuem capacidade logística comparável
