De acordo com a investigação, na ocasião, a companheira do suspeito foi encontrada sem vida no banheiro do imóvel. Embora o cenário inicial tenha sido registrado como suicídio, a polícia concluiu que o homem teria simulado a situação para enganar as autoridades.
Para isso, por exemplo, ele teria desligado o sistema de monitoramento da casa minutos após chegar com a vítima no local, tentando apagar qualquer rastro visual da agressão.
Porém, durante a investigação, a polícia fez exames necroscópicos, toxicológicos e análises forenses em dispositivos eletrônicos, que comprovaram a manipulação de evidências digitais e o comportamento controlador do agressor. Além das provas técnicas, a equipe colheu 24 depoimentos e ouviu o filho da vítima, uma criança, seguindo os protocolos de proteção, que também ajudaram a apontar as contradições.
O inquérito apontou um histórico de violência doméstica marcado por ciúmes e ameaças, refutando as versões contraditórias apresentadas pelo investigado. Por conta disso, ele foi indiciado por homicídio qualificado — por motivo fútil, emprego de asfixia, impossibilidade de defesa e feminicídio — além do crime de fraude processual.

O homem foi preso na noite de sexta-feira (13) pela Delegacia de Polícia de Fronteira de São Lourenço do Oeste.
