O Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (Inmet) colocou oito estados em alerta laranja para chuvas intensas neste domingo, 15. O nível indica "perigo" e permanece válido até as 23h59.
Estão na lista Amazonas, Ceará, Maranhão, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte e Rondônia.
A previsão aponta acumulados de até 100 milímetros por dia e rajadas de vento que podem atingir 100 km/h. Entre os possíveis impactos estão interrupções no fornecimento de energia, prejuízos a plantações, queda de árvores e alagamentos.

Alerta vermelho – Grande perigo: situação meteorológica de grande perigo. Estão previstos fenômenos meteorológicos de intensidade excepcional. Grande probabilidade de ocorrência de grandes danos e acidentes, com riscos para a integridade física ou mesmo à vida humana. Mantenha-se informado sobre as condições meteorológicas previstas e os possíveis riscos. Siga as instruções e conselhos das autoridades em todas as circunstâncias e prepare-se para medidas de emergência.
