A Receita recebe diversas demandas judiciais de informação, não se manifestando sobre elas por conta de sigilo tributário e, muitas vezes, também judicial, como é o caso".

Posteriormente, Toffoli deixou a relatoria do processo no Supremo após reunião interna entre os ministros. O empresário Daniel Vorcaro, controlador do Banco Master, é investigado no âmbito das apurações.
