O deputado federal André Fernandes (PL) se pintou de palhaço para criticar o desfile na Marquês de Sapucaí, no Rio de Janeiro, que homenageou o presidente da República, Lula (PT). No vídeo, publicado nesta segunda-feira, 16, o parlamentar classificou o tributo como "um retrato perfeito da crise moral, política e institucional que tomou conta do País".
No segundo dia de Carnaval, a escola de samba Acadêmicos de Niterói se apresentou no Sambódromo, tendo como tema principal o petista, que assistiu a festa ao lado da primeira-dama, Janja, e acompanhado também do prefeito da cidade, Eduardo Paes (PSD).

Ao remover a pintura do rosto, André diz que o concerto do grupo teve uma hora de transmissão nacional de propaganda eleitoral gratuita, custeada por dinheiro público e disfarçada de evento cultural. Fernandes defende a tese de promoção, pois teriam faltado as citações a petrolão, mensalão e à ligação do partido e filho de Lula a fraude bilionária no Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social (INSS).

O deputado falou que a homenagem ao mandatário, que seria apenas uma divulgação política, teve aval do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), que, segundo André, autorizou o desfile em ano de eleições.
"Em 2022, o presidente Jair Bolsonaro foi proibido de falar que o Lula era aliado de ditaduras, que apoiava o aborto e tinha se tornado o predileto entre as facções criminosas. Enquanto para um lado é permitida a propaganda eleitoral antecipada, pro outro, até a exposição da verdade é proibida", argumentou o parlamentar.
