O Carnaval da Bahia de 2026 entrou para a história como o maior, mais seguro, mais organizado e mais prestigiado do Brasil. Um símbolo claro disso foi a presença do presidente da República, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, pela primeira vez em nossa festa. Um gesto que traduz reconhecimento, respeito e prestígio nacional à maior festa popular do planeta.
Esse prestígio também se refletiu no recorde de turistas e de personalidades da cultura, da mídia e das artes que escolheram a Bahia para celebrar. Salvador, Porto Seguro, Barreiras e muitas outras cidades receberam visitantes que sabem que aqui a festa é bonita, vibrante e, acima de tudo, segura.
Nada disso acontece por acaso. O Carnaval é resultado de uma gestão que planeja, integra e organiza. O Governo do Estado atuou de forma coordenada com as prefeituras e com todos que fazem o Carnaval acontecer: artistas, trios, cordeiros, ambulantes, catadores, servidores públicos e a imprensa. Uma engrenagem complexa, mas que funcionou com eficiência.
Durante apenas uma semana, cerca de 14 milhões de pessoas ocuparam ruas e circuitos da capital e do interior. É como se toda a população da Bahia tivesse ido para a festa ao mesmo tempo, movimentando cidades, serviços, cultura e a economia local.
Somente de turistas, recebemos quase 4 milhões de visitantes de todo o Brasil e de países como Argentina, Portugal, Espanha, Alemanha, França e Estados Unidos. A internacionalização do Carnaval e a ampliação da nossa infraestrutura aérea colocam a Bahia definitivamente no mapa global dos grandes eventos.
A nova Rodoviária de Salvador mostrou que foi um investimento acertado. Mais de 170 mil pessoas circularam pelo terminal durante o período, garantindo conforto, fluidez e segurança para quem chegou ou saiu do estado por via terrestre.
Este é, sem dúvida, o maior Carnaval do Brasil e do mundo. Mas é também um Carnaval que valoriza a cultura baiana em todas as suas matrizes, fortalece blocos afros, manifestações populares e cuida do nosso patrimônio histórico, como o Pelourinho e o tradicional Ouro Negro.
A segurança foi um dos grandes destaques. Pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, não houve registro de homicídios nos circuitos. Houve redução significativa de crimes violentos, furtos, roubos e também de crimes como racismo e violência contra a mulher. Investimentos em pessoal, viaturas, tecnologia e inteligência fizeram a diferença, com apoio do Judiciário, Ministério Público e Defensoria Pública, no âmbito do Bahia Pela Paz.
Na saúde, ninguém ficou sem atendimento. O estado garantiu assistência no SAMU, na UTI aérea, nos postos de testagem, hospitais e policlínicas. A estrutura funcionou para atender desde casos simples até situações mais complexas, com rapidez e cuidado.
O Governo também cuidou de quem trabalha no Carnaval. Motoristas de trio tiveram, pela primeira vez, espaços para descanso. Ambulantes, cordeiros e catadores receberam apoio das secretarias sociais. Foram coletadas cerca de 158 toneladas de latinhas para reciclagem, gerando renda e protegendo o meio ambiente. Mulheres, população negra, indígena e pessoas com deficiência tiveram atenção especial, garantindo um Carnaval inclusivo, respeitoso e verdadeiramente de todos.
