Lula desembarcou em Nova Délhi na quarta-feira 18 para participar de uma cúpula global sobre inteligência artificial. Neste sábado, ele participou de cerimônia oficial, prestou homenagens a Mahatma Gandhi e se reuniu com Modi para tratar da ampliação da cooperação bilateral.
Os dois líderes também discutiram o aumento do comércio entre os países, que superou US$ 15 bilhões em 2025. O Brasil é hoje o principal parceiro comercial da Índia na América Latina. A meta conjunta é elevar o intercâmbio para US$ 20 bilhões até 2030.
