Diante da gravidade da denúncia, os policias foram até a casa do suspeito. Questionado sobre as imagens que mostram as agressões, ele permaneceu em silêncio, mas indicou o local onde enterrou os cães na beira do rio. O homem ainda disse que o machado utilizado para agredir os animais foi deixado em uma residência nas proximidades.
