Entre as primeiras providências está a organização de uma frente de ajuda humanitária, com a criação de um núcleo de apoio às famílias atingidas. A Secretaria Especial de Direitos Humanos coordena a rede de solidariedade e estruturou pontos oficiais para recebimento de doações.
