O terminal logístico que irá conectar o Complexo Industrial e Portuário do Pecém (CIPP) à ferrovia Transnordestina deve começar a ser construído no primeiro semestre de 2025.
O projeto do Terminal Portuário de Uso Privado (TUP) da Nordeste Logística (Nelog) tem um investimento estimado de R$ 1,3 bilhão.
As informações foram confirmadas pelo presidente do CIPP, Max Quintino, nesta terça-feira (24). O contrato com a Nelog deve ser assinado pelo Governo do Ceará nos próximos dias, segundo o presidente da CIPP.
Como será o projeto
O empreendimento fará a conexão por meio de esteiras da Transnordestina com o Complexo. A movimentação prevista para o primeiro ano de operação é de 6 milhões de toneladas.
Funcionará da seguinte maneira: quando o trem da Transnordestina chegar ao terminal, a mercadoria será carregada por meio das esteiras, e não levada por caminhões, até o Porto do Pecém.
Movimentação estimada
Nos anos seguintes, a movimentação pode chegar a 28 milhões de toneladas, entre grãos, fertilizantes, minérios de ferro, contêineres e combustíveis.
"Logo logo a gente já deve ter obra do terminal, porque a ideia é que a conclusão dele obrigatoriamente vai ter que casar com a conclusão da Transnordestina [previsto para o fim de 2027]", projeta Max Quintino.
