Unicap inova nas licenciaturas com Escola de Educação e Humanidades
As graduações em licenciaturas fazem parte da história da Universidade Católica de Pernambuco (Unicap). O olhar sempre atento na formação dos futuros professores e a maneira como os cursos são oferecidos dentro da instituição fizeram a Universidade inovar: a estrutura curricular das dez licenciaturas oferecidas está mudando e, a partir do ano que vem, a Unicap passa a oferecer a Escola de Educação e Humanidades.
"A Escola de Educação e Humanidades é uma nova articulação do que a gente chama do ecossistema da educação na universidade, que envolve Ensino, Pesquisa e Extensão. A Unicap nasceu formando professores, desde a década de 40, e por isso as licenciaturas estão no nosso DNA", explica o pró-reitor de graduação e extensão, o professor doutor Degislando Nóbrega.
Essa iniciativa da Escola busca inovar pela reformulação dos currículos de Letras Inglês, Letras Espanhol, Química, Física, Matemática, Ciências Biológicas, História, Filosofia, Pedagogia e Ensino Religioso, que passam a focar, com maior dinamismo, no desenvolvimento de competências que integram teoria e prática, o caráter contínuo da aprendizagem, técnica e ética, o saber fazer, o saber ser e o saber conviver.
Dentre as inovações que a Escola irá proporcionar estão as licenciaturas na modalidade Ensino a Distância (EaD), como segunda formação, com currículos reestruturados por competências para responder às tendências da educação, às demandas dos sistemas de ensino da sociedade contemporânea.
Essas graduações a distância, além da sede, localizada no Recife, ganham mais dois novos polos, nas cidades de João Pessoa (PB) e Fortaleza (CE).
Ao todo, a Escola ampliará a oferta de cursos, na modalidade EaD, com oito Licenciaturas, como segunda formação (para Portadores de Diplomas), um bacharelado em Teologia e uma licenciatura plena em Ciências da Religião.
Além disso, as licenciaturas de ciências e tecnologia (Física, Química e Matemática) e de ciências biológicas e saúde passam a integrar a Escola de Educação e Humanidades, favorecendo maior organicidade formativa.
