Senado aprova lei que endurece punições para estupro de vulnerável

O Senado aprovou nesta quarta-feira, 25, o Projeto de Lei 2.195/2024, que estabelece a presunção absoluta de vulnerabilidade em casos de estupro.
A medida altera o Código Penal para garantir que a punição ocorra independentemente do consentimento, da experiência sexual prévia da vítima ou de eventual gravidez resultante do crime, isto é, se a vítima tem menos de 14 anos ou deficiência mental, o crime é incontestável.
O texto agora depende apenas da assinatura do Presidente da República para entrar em vigor.
Barreira contra impunidade
A proposta surge como uma resposta legislativa a decisões judiciais recentes que geraram indignação.
A autora do projeto, deputada Laura Carneiro (PSD-RJ), citou um caso do Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ) em que um homem de 20 anos foi absolvido após engravidar uma menina de 12 anos, sob o argumento de que havia um "relacionamento" entre ambos.
