Farra do boi entra na mira da PM em SC e tem multas de até R$ 20 mil

A ação da PM segue até o dia 5 de abril e envolve os comandos regionais da PM de Florianópolis, São José, Balneário Camboriú e Tubarão. Também inclui órgãos da vigilância sanitária e a Companhia Integrada de Desenvolvimento Agrícola de Santa Catarina (Cidasc).
A ação visa proibir e coibir a farra do boi, blitz, acompanhamento por drones e invesgações através das denuncias. A população pode denunciar casos pelo telefone 190 ou pelo aplicativo PMSC Cidadão.
— Nosso foco é agir de forma preventiva, com presença e integração entre os órgãos fiscalizadores, para evitar que a prática da Farra do Boi ocorra — disse o comandante-geral da PMSC, coronel Emerson Fernandes.
O que diz a lei
A operação tem como base a legislação federal que prevê punição para atos de abuso, maus-tratos, ferimentos ou mutilação de animais. Uma lei estadual estabelece multa de R$ 20 mil para quem promover ou divulgar a prática.

Também podem ser multados em R$ 10 mil os participantes, comerciantes dos animais, proprietários de veículos utilizados no transporte ou donos de imóveis onde a farra ocorrer. Em caso de reincidência, os valores são dobrados, conforme a lei estadual.
Ocorrências em 2025
No último ano, foram registradas seis ocorrências relacionadas à Farra do Boi no Estado, conforme a PM. Os casos foram identificados em Bombinhas (três registros), Governador Celso Ramos (dois registros) e São João Batista (um registro).
Durante as ações, dois animais foram apreendidos e três encaminhados em Bombinhas. Já em Governador Celso Ramos, houve aplicação de multa por maus-tratos.
