Segundo os bombeiros, o animal não apresentava ferimentos aparentes. A corporação, no entanto, ainda não divulgou há quanto tempo ele estava sob os escombros nem outros detalhes sobre a ocorrência.
Catástrofe em Juiz de Fora
O resgate ocorre em meio ao cenário de destruição causado pelas chuvas na cidade. Em Juiz de Fora, 4,2 mil pessoas estão desabrigadas ou desalojadas. Em toda a Zona da Mata, subiu para 59 o número de mortes provocadas pelo temporal que atingiu a região na última segunda-feira (23/2), sendo 53 em Juiz de Fora e seis em Ubá. Ainda há 15 pessoas desaparecidas.
De acordo com o Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Minas Gerais, foram registradas 82 ocorrências de soterramento, com 239 pessoas resgatadas. Ao todo, 253 pessoas estão desabrigadas e 5.510 estão desalojadas na região, sendo 3.500 em Juiz de Fora, 810 em Matias Barbosa e 1.200 em Ubá.
A Zona da Mata segue sob alerta vermelho do Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (Inmet), classificado como de grande perigo. O aviso indica possibilidade de chuva superior a 60 milímetros por hora ou acima de 100 milímetros por dia, com risco de alagamentos, transbordamentos de rios e deslizamentos de encostas.
O Inmet orienta que, em caso de emergência, a população acione a Defesa Civil, pelo telefone 199, ou o Corpo de Bombeiros, pelo 193.
