Caso ocorreu na C4 Gym, na capital paulista; jovem de 27 anos morreu após aula de natação
A Polícia Civil ampliou para sete o número de vítimas intoxicadas após utilizarem a piscina da academia C4 Gym, na capital paulista. Entre os casos está o da estudante Juliana Basseto, de 27 anos, que morreu depois de passar mal ao participar de uma aula de natação no local. A mais recente vítima identificada é uma criança de apenas cinco anos, que também apresentou quadro de intoxicação e teve o estado de saúde agravado após frequentar a piscina.
As investigações apontam indícios de negligência na manutenção da água da piscina. Diante das evidências reunidas até o momento, o delegado responsável pelo caso, Alexandre Bento, solicitou à Justiça a prisão preventiva dos três sócios da academia por dolo eventual — quando não há intenção direta de matar, mas se assume o risco de provocar a morte ao agir com negligência.
Segundo a polícia, o pedido de prisão foi fundamentado, entre outros elementos, em depoimentos de funcionários. Um manobrista que também atuava como piscineiro afirmou que recebia instruções por meio de mensagens de WhatsApp para realizar o tratamento químico da água. Ele relatou ainda que, ao informar a um dos sócios que uma mulher havia passado mal e sido levada ao hospital, recebeu como resposta a palavra "paciência".
De acordo com o depoimento, após a confirmação da morte de Juliana Basseto, o mesmo sócio teria orientado o funcionário a deixar o local. Para a autoridade policial, a conduta demonstra tentativa de se eximir de responsabilidade, reforçando a necessidade da prisão preventiva para não comprometer as investigações.
O Ministério Público também passou a acompanhar o caso e solicitou apuração sobre a situação documental da C4 Gym e de outras unidades da rede na cidade. A Promotoria quer verificar se as academias possuem alvarás de funcionamento regularizados junto à Prefeitura e se contam com o Auto de Vistoria do Corpo de Bombeiros (AVCB) em dia.
A Polícia Civil segue colhendo depoimentos e analisando laudos periciais para esclarecer as circunstâncias da intoxicação coletiva. A Justiça ainda deve decidir sobre o pedido de prisão dos sócios.
