Decreto legislativo aprova o conteúdo do acordo de livre comércio e autoriza o Poder Executivo a ratificar o tratado
O Congresso Nacional promulgará nesta terça-feira (17) o decreto legislativo que aprovou o conteúdo do acordo de livre comércio entre o Mercosul e a União Europeia e que autoriza o Poder Executivo a ratificar o tratado.
A assinatura será realizada em sessão solene conjunta, de deputados e senadores, prevista para às 15h30. Com a promulgação, o país avança mais uma etapa para a implementação do acordo, que foi negociado durante décadas e assinado em 17 de janeiro em Assunção, no Paraguai.
Para entrar em vigor, é necessária a comunicação, entre as partes, de que o texto foi ratificado. Como a CNN Brasil mostrou, o Brasil deve ratificar o acordo já nesta semana. A expectativa do governo é que o acordo entre em vigor de forma provisória a partir de maio.
Entre outras medidas, o tratado prevê a redução de tarifas, ao longo dos próximos anos, para 91% dos produtos importados pelo Mercosul e 95% dos produtos importados pela UE.
O projeto sobre o acordo foi aprovado pelo Senado em 4 de março. Antes, a Câmara dos Deputados também deu aval para a proposta, que foi recebida como uma pauta prioritária dos congressistas.
Além do tratado, após pedidos de parlamentares e representantes do setor produtivo relacionados ao acordo, o Executivo também editou decreto para definir procedimentos para eventual aplicação de salvaguardas bilaterais no âmbito dos acordos comerciais de que o Brasil seja parte.
Além das definições sobre comércio, o acordo também inclui definições sobre compromissos ambientais, investimentos, compras públicas, pequenas e médias empresas, como a redução de custos para pequenos exportadores.
