Primeiro projeto ferroviário do ano segue sem edital e tem cronograma refeito
O primeiro leilão ferroviário previsto para 2026, do corredor Minas-Rio, sofreu atraso e já não deve ocorrer em abril, como inicialmente previsto. O edital, que era esperado desde janeiro, ainda não foi publicado, e o governo federal readequou o cronograma, com previsão de realização do certame entre julho e agosto
Para a CNN, o secretário-executivo da pasta, George Santoro, afirmou que o documento, inicialmente esperado para janeiro, deve ser divulgado até maio. Com isso, o leilão precisou ser adiado, porém, Santoro afirma que esse segue sendo o primeiro leilão ferroviário do ano.
O atraso está relacionado, principalmente, ao caráter inédito do modelo e a ajustes no processo após o TCU (Tribunal de Contas da União) pedir para analisar o projeto, disse Santoro. Como a análise prévia da Corte de Contas não estava prevista no cronograma original, foi necessário readequar as etapas do projeto.
No momento, a proposta está na fase final de análise na ANTT (Agência Nacional de Transportes Terrestres).
O corredor Minas-Rio será o primeiro leilão estruturado por meio de chamamento público, mecanismo em que o governo oferece ao mercado trechos ferroviários devolvidos por concessionárias, geralmente por falta de interesse econômico. Empresas interessadas podem, então, assumir a operação e realizar investimentos.
O diretor-geral da ANTT, Guilherme Sampaio, explicou que esse modelo deve ganhar protagonismo nos próximos anos e que o processo será semelhante ao do setor portuário com edital, projeto de referência e análise do TCU (Tribunal de Contas da União).
