Justiça libera uso de imóveis públicos para garantir empréstimo ao BRB
Empréstimos vão cobrir rombo causado com operações do Banco Master
O desembargador Roberval Belinati, do Tribunal de Justiça do Distrito Federal e Territórios (TJDFT), derrubou nesta terça-feira, 17, a decisão que barrou a lei que autorizou o governo distrital a usar imóveis públicos como garantias de empréstimos para salvar o Banco de Brasília (BRB).
A decisão de hoje suspende a liminar de primeira instância que proibiu a utilização dos imóveis para capitalização do BRB, que é alvo das investigações sobre fraudes no Banco Master.
O desembargador aceitou recurso protocolado pelo GDF e afirmou que a proibição deve ser derrubada por interferir no livre funcionamento do governo local. Belinati também ressaltou que a medida pode trazer prejuízos financeiros para o Distrito Federal.
"Destaque-se que o Banco de Brasília detém relevante função social, sendo responsável pela execução de políticas públicas de crédito, pela operacionalização de programas governamentais e pela prestação de serviços bancários a milhares de servidores públicos, aposentados e cidadãos do Distrito Federal", afirmou.
No dia 10 deste mês, o governador Ibaneis Rocha sancionou o projeto de lei que permite o uso de imóveis públicos para garantir empréstimos e cobrir o rombo causado com as operações envolvendo o Master.
O BRB pretende realizar operações de crédito de R$ 6 bilhões com o Fundo Garantidor de Créditos (FGC) e outros bancos.
