Gilmar Mendes dispensa Leila Pereira de depor na CPMI do INSS
Leila havia sido convocada para prestar esclarecimentos sobre possíveis irregularidades em empréstimos consignados. Ao analisar o pedido, o ministro apontou que a convocação pode ter extrapolado os limites legais da comissão parlamentar. "Os limites constitucionais estabelecidos aos poderes investigativos das comissões parlamentares de inquérito e as garantias fundamentais da requerente impedem que tal convocação ocorra em dissonância com os fatos determinados que deram origem à instalação da CPMI e em frontal colisão com o direito fundamental à não autoincriminação", afirmou Mendes.

A convocação partiu de requerimento do relator da comissão, Alfredo Gaspar, com base em informações apresentadas pelo presidente do INSS, Gilberto Waller Júnior. Segundo o parlamentar, a Crefisa teria papel relevante na operacionalização de pagamentos de novos benefícios e estaria sob análise após relatos de irregularidades.
