O Sertão de Pernambuco está em alerta de perigo para chuvas intensas neste fim de semana de Carnaval. Segundo aviso do Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (Inmet), cidades como Araripina, Bodocó, Cedro, Exu, Granito, Ipubi, Ouricuri, Parnamirim, Salgueiro, Serra Talhada, Serrita, Trindade e Verdejante estão entre as áreas com maior risco.

O alerta vale até 23h59 deste domingo (15) e prevê volumes elevados de chuva e ventos fortes, com possibilidade de alagamentos e outros transtornos.

De acordo com o Inmet, o aviso aponta para chuvas entre 30 mm e 60 mm por hora, podendo atingir 50 mm a 100 mm por dia, além de ventos intensos de até 100 km/h. Há risco de corte de energia elétrica, queda de galhos de árvores, alagamentos e descargas elétricas.

Alerta também para a Região Metropolitana e Mata Pernambucana

Além do Sertão, o Inmet emitiu aviso de perigo potencial para acumulado de chuva em áreas da Região Metropolitana do Recife e Mata Pernambucana, com previsão de até 50 mm por dia.

Entre as cidades afetadas estão Recife, Olinda, Paulista, Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Camaragibe, Escada, Moreno, Goiana, Ipojuca e Tamandaré.

O Inmet orienta que a população evite situações de risco durante o período de instabilidade não se abrigando debaixo de árvores em caso de ventos fortes; não estacionar veículos próximos a torres ou placas de propaganda; desligar aparelhos elétricos e, se possível, o quadro geral de energia; evitar enfrentar o mau tempo e observar áreas de encosta.
