Vescovi built a long career in federal public service before joining Santander. She was Deputy Secretary of Macroeconomics in the Economic Policy Secretariat of the Finance Ministry between 1997 and 2007, and Finance Secretary of Espírito Santo before being appointed by Henrique Meirelles to the National Treasury in 2016. She holds a master's degree in Public Sector Economics from the University of Brasília (UnB) and a master's in Public Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and is a specialist in Public Policy and Government Management. ◦
