Federal government celebrates World Book Day with awards ceremony and new reading plan

President Lula led an event on World Book Day on April 23, delivering the 9th Vivaleitura Prize and signing a decree creating the new National Book and Reading Plan for 2026-2035. The event took place at the Brazil International Convention Center at 5 PM.

World Book Day was officially established in 1995 by UNESCO with the objective of promoting reading enjoyment and equal access to books.
