Data from the General Registry of Employed and Unemployed (Caged), released by the Ministry of Labor on May 28, shows sharp deceleration: the balance represents a 62.3% drop compared to March (227,974 jobs) and 63.9% compared to April 2025 (238,216 positions). In the January-April accumulated period, the country created 699,762 formal jobs — 23.4% less than the first four months of 2025.
