Flávio Bolsonaro says father could hold position in potential government

Flávio Bolsonaro stated in a CNN interview that his father Jair Bolsonaro could join his government if elected president in 2026. The senator also promised to work for a broad amnesty so that the former president, who is under house arrest, could participate in the inauguration.

Jair Bolsonaro was sentenced to 27 years in prison for attempted coup charges and has been under house arrest since early March. Flávio Bolsonaro is a pre-candidate for President in the 2026 elections representing the PL party.
