INMET and Civil Defense issue heavy rain alerts for different regions of the country

The National Institute of Meteorology (INMET) issued heavy rain alerts for Sunday (10th) in the South, Southeast and Center-West regions, forecasting 20 to 30 mm/h of rain and winds up to 60 km/h. Separately, Belém's Civil Defense also issued alerts for the third consecutive day, advising residents to avoid flooded areas and seek safe shelter.

INMET is Brazil's National Institute of Meteorology responsible for issuing official weather alerts. Intense rainfall events have become more frequent and following these official bulletins has become an urban protection strategy.
