José Guimarães Takes Office as Minister of Institutional Relations

Deputy José Guimarães (PT-CE) took office as Minister of the Secretariat of Institutional Relations on Tuesday (14). He replaces Gleisi Hoffmann, who will run for a Senate seat in Paraná. In his speech, he stated that he wants to "defeat the ultra-right and fascism".

The Ministry of Institutional Relations is responsible for the government's political coordination with the National Congress, states, municipalities and civil society. José Guimarães replaced Gleisi Hoffmann in the position, who left the ministry to run for a Senate seat in Paraná.
