Lula undergoes surgery to remove scalp skin lesion

President Lula underwent surgery on Friday morning (24th) in São Paulo to remove a basal cell lesion from his scalp. The procedure went well and he should rest for the next few days, but without affecting his schedule.

Basal cell lesions are a very common type of skin lesion caused by sun exposure that does not spread to other parts of the body. The procedure was performed by Dr. Cristina Abdala at a hospital in São Paulo, where Lula arrived around 7 AM for the scheduled surgery.
