MPPE requests jury trial for police chief who shot street vendor in Fernando de Noronha

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Pernambuco requested that police chief Luiz Alberto Braga de Queiroz be tried by jury. He shot street vendor Emmanuel Apory in the leg during a party in Fernando de Noronha in May 2025. The victim had part of his leg amputated.
