Rio Public Prosecutor's Office charges Marcinho VP, wife and son Oruam with criminal organization

The Rio de Janeiro Public Prosecutor's Office charged drug trafficker Marcinho VP, his wife Marcia Gama Nepomuceno, his rapper son Oruam and nine other people with criminal organization and drug money laundering. The Civil Police conducted an operation on Wednesday the 29th to execute arrest and search warrants.

Marcinho VP is considered a leader of Comando Vermelho and has been imprisoned for more than 20 years, but according to investigations continues coordinating the criminal faction from inside prison. Oruam is a 24-year-old Brazilian rapper who has performed at festivals like Lollapalooza and has been accused of using his popularity to benefit Comando Vermelho.
